Description:

The Stepping Stones Puzzle presents a captivating blend of numerical strategy and topology, designed for a single player. The game is deceptively simple yet offers a profound depth of gameplay.

The primary objective is straightforward: players must strategically place a series of ordered, red stones onto an infinite chessboard. The rules governing placement are twofold:

<ol>
 <li>Each new red stone must equal the sum of its neighboring stones.</li>
 <li>Once a stone is placed, it cannot be moved.</li>
</ol>

Players begin with several blue stones on the board, each valued at 1 point, which serve as immovable anchors for gameplay. The game provides a set of 15 or more red stones with ascending values starting from 2. By tapping the board, players can place their next stone and earn points. Successfully placing all red stones results in victory.

As players progress, they may encounter multiple potential placements for their next stone. Caution is advised, as obstructing one's own path or inadvertently following a dead end can quickly hinder progress.

The game features 24 levels that incrementally increase in complexity, challenging players to discover and utilize recurring patterns that simplify the puzzle-solving process.

To assist players in their journey, six Super-Powers are available for trade using points collected during gameplay:

<ul>
 <li>Undo - Reverses the last action taken if a player finds themselves at a dead end.</li>
 <li>Auto Calculator - Allows players to tap any field to calculate the sum of neighboring stones.</li>
 <li>Pencil Notes - Displays potential values for unoccupied fields on the board.</li>
 <li>Valid Choices - Highlights possible moves in any given situation.</li>
 <li>Scout - Enables players to preview possible dead-end paths ahead.</li>
 <li>Hindsight - Offers a review of optimal openings after a challenging segment of play.</li>
</ul>
